About the game

soodoku is a free sudoku that runs in the browser, on phones and computers. Next to the classic game it has modes that mix sudoku with other games: falling pieces, minesweeper, castle defense and a two-phone duel.

The core rule is the same everywhere: a 9×9 grid where every row, column and 3×3 box holds the digits 1 to 9 with no repeats. Every puzzle has exactly one solution. No account or install is needed and progress is saved in your browser. You can also pin it to your home screen like a regular app.

Logic

Classic sudoku where difficulty depends on the techniques you need. Easy puzzles need only single candidates, harder ones ask for hidden singles, locked candidates and naked pairs, and the hardest level goes beyond that. You get notes, undo and three hints per game.

Given digits

Also classic, but difficulty is simply how many digits you start with: from 50 on the easiest level down to 23 on the hardest. Fewer givens, longer hunt for the first move.

Tetroku

Sudoku meets falling pieces. Instead of typing digits one by one you get pieces carrying digits from the solution and drag them onto the grid where they fit. A bar counts down to the next piece and you can park one in the hold slot. Fast, clean placements score points.

Minedoku

Sudoku meets minesweeper. Some empty cells hide mines. A mine still has a digit from the solution under it, but you flag it instead of filling it in. Givens and correctly filled cells show how many mines touch them. You win when every safe cell is filled and every mine is flagged. The generator makes sure you never have to guess.

Siege

Sudoku meets castle defense. Each of the nine boxes is a castle with a wall under attack by green, orange and purple monsters, each tougher than the last. A correct digit in the attacked box is a shot, a full row or column fires a laser and a completed box becomes a fortress. A wrong digit damages your own wall. Lose three castles and the game is over.

Sabotage (two players)

A duel on two phones. Open a room with a four-letter code, send the link to a friend and you both get the same puzzle. First to finish wins. A full row or column attacks your rival (one digit banned, or a blurred board) and a completed box rotates their board by 90°. Mistakes cost short lockouts, so guessing does not pay.

Daily challenge

One puzzle a day, the same for everyone, alternating between Logic and Given digits. Solved days are marked in the calendar and your streak grows only for challenges solved on their own day.

Account and leaderboard

An account is optional: an email and a password let you carry daily progress between devices, see head-to-head stats against rivals and show up on the leaderboard under the name from your email. Without one you play as Guest.
